I hope your weekend was enjoyable. I was able to see our 2nd graders receive First Holy Communion. What a beautiful experience for them.
Spelling- July August September October November December
Test Friday!
Math- We will begin our unit on money this week! We will be using coins as manipulatives as the students learn the values of pennies, nickels, dimes, and quarters. Test Friday!
Our lemonade/brownies sale brought in over $90.00 for the American Red Cross. That $ will be sent out this week. Thank you for all your help! I was so proud of how hard the class worked and how excited they were to do this project!
Reading- Our puppet shows last week were a great success(and alot of fun). The students made their own puppets and performed Digger Pig and the Turnip and The Little Red Hen for the Kindergarten and 2nd Grade. I am very pleased with how the class is progressing in their reading. Please continue to read with them at home.
Religion- Thanks to Fr. Fallon for visiting our class on Friday to talk about Baptism. He brought some visuals for the kids to see and touch. (candle, prayer book...) We will continue on with Chapter 18 this week.
Science- We will continue with our unit on the Life Cycle of the Butterfly! Ask your child about the butterfly they researched and wrote about!
Social Studies- We will finally make our Ojo de Dios to continue our unit on Mexican Culture.
HAVE A WONDERFUL WEEK!
